ACC Holds Annual Gala
Thursday, 14 January 2010 23:20

The Anne Carlsen Center celebrated the end of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 through the seventh annual Sparkle! New Year’s Eve Gala.Servers from the Gladstone Inn and Suites present ACC Sparkle! New Year’s Eve Gala attendees with their main course. Two entrees were offered at the event: seared Mahi Mahi, Creole spiced jumbo shrimp, lobster and chorizo sausage in Piri Piri sauce or beef tenderloin medallions topped with blue cheese crumbles and a red wine reduction with fresh rosemary, scallions and mushrooms.

“It was another wonderful evening — the food, the music and the company were all spectacular,” said ACC Foundation Executive Director Dan Kunzman. “We owe such a debt of gratitude to our volunteers, our staff and the Gladstone Inn for all they did to make sure this event remains an elegant evening for all.”

The event sold out as more than 140 people attended the gala. Those attending, including community partners, donors, staff and other ACC friends, danced to live music from the group Joe Dresch and bid on more than 30 prize packages during a silent auction.

Money raised from the event will be used to purchase specialized equipment that will support the center’s most medically fragile students.

What Our Guests Are Saying:
"I was in Jamestown on January, 21 for a conference. I was one of the 3 speakers they had scheduled. I called the group hosting the conference for a referral as where to stay, they suggested the Gladstone. I was very happy with my room, the meeting facilities and the restaurant. I was able to mix business with pleasure, I really enjoyed the hot tub in my room."
